In may 2024 the Executive Director of YWCA South Sudan undertook a field trip visit to Pibor. The visit focused on addressing education and trauma healing concerns among women and girls, engaging with the Ministry of Gender, and participating in the launch of the Ending Early and Forced Marriage campaign. The trip aimed to strengthen relationships with local stakeholders, assess ongoing programs, and identify new opportunities for collaboration. The objectives of the visit were:
Engage with Women Groups: Discuss education and trauma healing concerns, Meet with the Ministry of Gender: Address gender-related issues and policy implementation, Launch Campaign: Participate in the launch of the Ending Early and Forced Marriage campaign and Assess YWCA Programs: Evaluate the impact of ongoing YWCA initiatives in Pibor.
